What are the differences in ways which Antigone and Ismene dealt with perceived injustice

Antigone:

* Defied Creon's order by burying her brother Polynices, even though she knew she would be punished.

* Acted alone, without the help of her sister Ismene.

* Was willing to die for what she believed was right.

* Saw her duty to her family as more important than her duty to the state.

* Believed in the power of the gods, and that she would be rewarded for her actions in the afterlife.

Ismene:

* Obeyed Creon's order, even though she knew it was wrong.

* Tried to dissuade Antigone from burying Polynices, arguing that it was too dangerous.

* Was not willing to die for her beliefs.

* Saw her duty to the state as more important than her duty to her family.

* Did not believe in the power of the gods, and thought that Antigone was foolish to risk her life for them.
