How does Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind end?

The film ends with Jim and Clementine running toward each other on a beach, their memories of their past relationship having been erased due to the treatment provided by Dr. Howard Mierzwiak. As they see each other for what seems to be the first time, they ask if they should try their relationship again, and they do.
