Do duel discs really shuffle the cards?

Duel Discs don't physically shuffle cards like a human would. They use a mechanical system to randomize the order of cards.

Here's how it works:

* Deck Insertion: You place your deck into the Duel Disc, and it's fed into a chamber.

* Randomization Mechanism: The Duel Disc has a mechanism (usually a rotating cylinder or a series of spinning gears) that shuffles the cards.

* Card Delivery: The randomized cards are then delivered to the top of the Duel Disc, ready for you to draw.

The randomization isn't perfect: While Duel Discs do a pretty good job at shuffling cards, they aren't guaranteed to achieve a perfectly random distribution like a human shuffle. This is because the mechanical system has limitations.

Important Note: The type of randomization mechanism used in Duel Discs varies, and some older models may not be as effective as newer ones.

In conclusion, while Duel Discs don't perform a traditional shuffle, they use a mechanical system to achieve a randomized order of cards.
