What is tu qouque?
Tu quoque is a Latin phrase that means "you also." It is used as a logical fallacy to dismiss an argument by pointing out that the person making the argument is also guilty of the same thing. For example, if someone argues that politicians should not be allowed to accept campaign contributions from special interests, someone else might respond with the tu quoque fallacy by pointing out that the person making the argument has also accepted campaign contributions from special interests. This fallacy is often used to deflect attention away from the original argument and to avoid having to address the actual issues being raised.
