How was Leia escorted to the sail barge if throne moved Does this mean her chain removed and she escaped?

Princess Leia never left the palace to board the Sail Barge in *Return of the Jedi**. Darth Vader carried her and set her down as it was taking off as a last second move when Jabba was not agreeing to his demands.
