Who is gao ya yuan?

Gao Ya Yuan is a former professional Chinese tennis player. She was born on 10 February 1979 in Beijing.

She is the first female Chinese player to earn a WTA singles title. She won her first WTA singles title in January 2000, at the Hobart International. She reached her highest WTA singles ranking of 27 on 10 December 2000.

She retired from professional tennis in 2006.

She is now married and has two children. She lives in Beijing.
