Where was Spanish created?

Spanish was not "created" but rather evolved naturally over time. It originates from Vulgar Latin, the spoken form of Latin that was used by the Roman soldiers and settlers in Hispania (modern-day Spain) during the Roman Empire.

Over time, Vulgar Latin in Hispania underwent various linguistic changes influenced by the local Celtic, Iberian, and Basque languages, as well as by the later influence of Germanic languages brought by the Visigoths. These changes gradually led to the emergence of Spanish as a distinct language.

Therefore, Spanish was not created in a specific moment or location but developed organically through historical processes in the Iberian Peninsula.
