What is the meaning of binanogbanog dance?

Binanogbanog is a courtship dance from Bontoc, Mountain Province, in the Philippines. The term binanogbanog is said to have originated from the Ibanag "binanog," which means bird and "banog," which means movement, and may therefore be translated as "bird dance." The Binanogbanog is a courtship dance performed by young couples of marriageable age. The Binanogbanog dance mimics the wing movements of the Ilongot Hornbill found in the Cordillera mountains of the Philippines.
