Who made the very first Harmonica?

The earliest known harmonicas were created by a German instrument maker named Christian Friedrich Ludwig Buschmann. He invented a mouth-blown instrument with a free reed in 1821, which he called the "Aura". Buschmann's invention consisted of a wooden box with a metal reed-plate attached to one side. The player would blow air into the box, causing the reeds to vibrate and produce sound.
