Basic Step:
1. Open: Begin with facing your partner side by side (closed position) with the inside hands joined. Take a step and close with the outside free feet. Step back to where you came from while closing that foot with the other one. Now, return again with other feet.
2. Side Steps in Basic: Face your partner (closed position). Put some weight on one leg while lifting the other slightly as it swings through and out. Shift the weight of your body to swing through and back by the original leading foot. Switch your step by putting weight forward, and then back. It can be repeated for as long as the music goes to create fluidity.
