Who is the creator of Jazz?

Jazz does not have a single creator. It developed over time as a result of the contributions of many musicians from diverse backgrounds, primarily African Americans, in late 19th and early 20th century New Orleans.

African influences and traditions brought by enslaved Africans combined with European musical elements like brass bands and marching bands in New Orleans to give birth to early Jazz. Various other musical genres and cultural influences eventually contributed to the evolution of Jazz as it spread to other parts of the United States and around the world.
