The _alitagtag_, also spelled as alitaptap dance depicts fireflies (also called alitaptap in Tagalog language) lighting up their surroundings at night. It features quick hopping step-patterns simulating the erratic flight of fireflies at nighttime along fields of grain.
The music used in the "Ili-Ili Tulog Anay" folk dance has a moderate tempo or "allegro moderato" with 2/4 beat, in the key of "C" for beginners and "G or Bb flat" major keys, mostly on "2" count with some short note patterns.
