What is aero dance?

Aero dance is an exercise program inspired by aerobic exercise and dance, which has a lot of choreographed body movements on the basis of music. It’s a form of cardiovascular activity set to music, much like aerobics.

However, aero dance offers greater flexibility and can involve more intricate dance moves. There are some general elements that are commonly seen in aero dance and some basic components of the class or routine. Some of these elements include warm up, choreography, core work, cool-down, and stretch.

The warm up is to prepare your body for the routine and reduce the risk of injury. The choreography part is where you are to learn and practice various sequences of dance movements. The core work section usually involves exercises that target your abdominal muscles and strengthen your body’s core. The cool-down phase provides a smooth transition from high intensity to rest and helps bring down your heart rate. The stretch part aims to improve flexibility and help you recover after the routine.
