Armando Christian Perez, known professionally as Pitbull, started his career in 2001 under DJ Lil Jon of Lil Jon & the Eastside Boyz and released his debut album under TVT Records. He also became the lead singer of Lil Jon & the Eastside Boyz in 2002 replacing former singer Banks who is now known as YoungBloodZ who went solo before Pitbull joined. His name "Mr. 305" originated from the Miami area code. Later his career began picking up in mid-2004 from his singles Oye and Culo released from his Spanish-language record "M. I.
