What is a cheer routine?

A cheer routine is a performance that consists of one or more stunts, tumbling passes, jumps, and chants or cheers. Cheer routines are typically performed by cheerleading teams at sporting events, pep rallies, and other events.

Stunts are acrobatic moves that involve two or more cheerleaders working together to lift, support, and throw each other in the air.

Tumbling passes are a series of acrobatic skills that are performed on the ground, such as flips, rolls, and jumps.

Jumps are athletic leaps that are performed with or without the use of props, such as pom-poms or megaphones.

Chants and cheers are rhythmic, energetic shouts and motions that are used to encourage athletic teams or promote school spirit.
