What are The six basic body actions in dance?

The six basic body actions in dance are:

1. Flexion: Bending a joint. This can be done in the arms, legs, or spine.

2. Extension: Straightening a joint. This can also be done in the arms, legs, or spine.

3. Rotation: Turning a joint around its axis. This can be done in the shoulders, hips, or neck.

4. Swaying: Moving the body from side to side. This can be done with the upper body, the lower body, or the entire body.

5. Rising: Moving the body upwards. This can be done by springing off the floor, or by rising on tiptoe.

6. Sinking: Moving the body downwards. This can be done by bending the knees, or by lowering the body all the way to the floor.
