1. Basic Step
* Dancers stand facing each other
* Perform the hop 3x
* On the 4th beat, step forward (men);
backwards (women) and raise arms sideways;
* Close feet and raise both hands to the right of the right
ear (women) raise left hands to the left ear
* Repeat Steps 2 and 3 in the opposite direction
2. Single Step Turn
* Hold the hand of your partner with the right hand
(ladies with the left)
* Start with the outer foot, step diagonally forward left
(men) and right (women) on count one
* Cross the inner foot behind and bend the knees
* Raise both arms sideward on the “and count”
* Turn once around clockwise while counting “two-three”
* End by closing the feet on count four
3. Double Step Turn
* Hold your partner’s right hand with your right
* Take two long steps forward (men) and backward
* On count “two” the men place the right foot down.
* At the same time, women should place their left feet down.
* Continue in the same manner (changing feet,
and arms and turning with the rhythm)
Optional movements that accompany dance:
* Sway – a side to side sway movement
* Hop in place – spring on one foot and land on the same
* Bend and raise – bend knees, raise arms and torso
* Cross step, raise – bend knees, raise arms and torso, bend
* Forward and backward – arms extend forward and backward
