What is kewet dance step?

Kuwet is a traditional dance of the Tboli ethnic group in the Soccsksargen region of Mindanao,Philippines. It is a ritualistic dance that is part of the T'boli culture. The dance is used to express the joy and unity of the T'boli people.

Dance steps:

1. The dancers form a circle, with the men and women facing each other.

2. The dancers hold hands and swing them back and forth, while stepping to the side.

3. They then take a few steps forward and back, while still holding hands.

4. The dancers then let go of each other's hands and spin in a circle.

5. They then come back together and repeat the steps.

The dance is accompanied by traditional music, played on the gongs, drums and bamboo instruments. The dance is a beautiful and vibrant display of T'boli culture and is often performed at festivals and other cultural events.
