It allows movement, lifting, weight-sharing, physical control, or contact with other bodies or with environmental and/or object-manipulation and interaction to provide choreographic structure. Physical contact creates the choreography through exploration; there may not be set forms.
Contact improvisation, Contact Tango, Authentic Movement, Lindy Hop, Partner Acrobatics, AcroYoga, Salsa, Argentine Tango, Brazilian Zouk, West Coast Swing, Rock’n’Roll Acrobatic Boogie Woogie, Kizomba, Urban Kiz, Semba, Bachata and Blues Dancing can also be said to involve contact as their primary choreographic means.
