What are the most common dance injuries?

1. Ankle sprains. These occur when the ligaments in the ankle are overstretched or torn. They are the most common dance injury, accounting for up to 50% of all dance injuries.

2. Knee injuries. These can include sprains, strains, and tears of the ligaments, tendons, and muscles around the knee. Knee injuries are the second most common dance injury, accounting for up to 25% of all dance injuries.

3. Foot injuries. These can include sprains, strains, fractures, and blisters. Foot injuries are the third most common dance injury, accounting for up to 20% of all dance injuries.

4. Hip injuries. These can include sprains, strains, and tears of the ligaments, tendons, and muscles around the hip. Hip injuries are the fourth most common dance injury, accounting for up to 15% of all dance injuries.

5. Back injuries. These can include strains, sprains, and herniated discs. Back injuries are the fifth most common dance injury, accounting for up to 10% of all dance injuries.

6. Neck injuries. These can include sprains, strains, and whiplash. Neck injuries are the sixth most common dance injury, accounting for up to 5% of all dance injuries.
