Each pair of dancers stands opposite each other in a line. Each dancer faces his partner. The dancers will move in a clockwise circle. Listen to the music: It will be in four beats with every eighth note played, as in 1-and-2-and-3-and-4-and.
On the first beat of music, the dancer steps to the left with his left foot on beat 1 and makes a little hop on the next eighth note, or the "and" of 1-and. His partner, who is facing him, does the mirror of these steps.
On 2, the dancer slides his right foot to be next to his left foot and makes a little hop as before on the "and."
On 3, the dancer taps his right toes in front of the left foot and hops on the "and."
On 4, the dancer kicks his right foot over his left and makes the hop on "and." Then the steps begin again on 1. Because the main step is to the left, the group of dancers will slowly circle clockwise.
