Gifts for Dance Recitals

If you’re going to see your child, best friend, girlfriend, boyfriend or sibling in a dance recital, you will want to congratulate that person with a festive gift. Your presence at the recital will certainly be appreciated, but so will your thoughtfulness at thinking ahead to bring a gift to the performance. Accompany any of these gifts with a personal note.
  1. Flowers

    • Flowers are a classic gift to bring to dance recitals, and for good reason. A fresh, colorful bouquet of flowers will make the performer feel special, and he can put them in a vase to admire for days after the performance. If you want the flowers to last longer than a few days, consider buying a potted plant such as an orchid. Flowers are also a romantic choice if you are giving the gift to your boyfriend or girlfriend.

    Candy

    • Another classic gift, candy or other sweet treats are perfect for a special occasion like this. Mixed boxes of chocolates are particularly fun, allowing you to sample and savor a variety of truffles over a period of days or weeks. Jazz up the box with ribbons and attach a card or combine with a gift of champagne or wine if the performer is over 21.

    Gift Certificates

    • Consider giving the performer a gift certificate to a spa so she can relax after all her hard work. A massage or other spa treatment will make her feel pampered and will soothe her tired muscles. You can also give a gift certificate to a restaurant so that you can both celebrate the performance with friends or family.

    Mementos

    • You can give the performer a small trinket that will remind him of his role in this particular recital. If he was the Prince, for example, give him a Prince-related memento. Or, if she was a cat, give her a small cat stuffed animal.
