Look through classified ads in magazines, newspapers and online for postings about ballroom dancing partners. Search magazines related to dancing, or those related to arts or entertainment.
Visit ballroom dancing studios and ask around. Perhaps someone will agree to be your ballroom dancing partner. While there, post printed ads on the walls. Write briefly who you are looking for, such as preferred height, and how this person can contact you.
Post your own ads online, in magazines such as "American Dancer" and "Dance" and in major newspapers such as The New York Times. Post on websites related to ballroom dancing, such as BallroomDancers.com.
Attend ballroom dancing competitions, and observe the dancers. You may find someone whose dancing style you admire. Approach this person and ask if he would be interested in being your partner. Compliment his dancing. If he already has a partner, ask him to recommend someone for you. Put up your ads, if allowed, and ask if anyone knows of a potential partner for you.
Observe your chosen candidate or candidates. Look for confidence, physical attraction, compatibility, comfort, patience, dedication, commitment, creativity and a passion for dancing. Keep in mind that you and your partner need to flow while dancing and be comfortable with one another.
Do a test choreographed ballroom dance with your potential partner or partners. If it feels right and the dancer meets your expectations, you've found a partner.
