What are the chicken dance steps?

The "chicken dance," also known as "Der Ententanz" (The Duck Dance) or "Vogeltanz" (The Bird Dance), is a popular line dance. The dance originated in Switzerland and Germany and is danced to a song of the same name.

Here are the steps for the chicken dance:

1. Walk forward: Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and your arms at your sides. Take a step forward with your left foot, then bring your right foot to meet it. Repeat this step, alternating feet, as you walk forward.

2. Do a "double-step right": Take a step to the right with your right foot, then quickly bring your left foot to meet it. This is a "double-step."

3. Do a "double-step left": Take a step to the left with your left foot, then quickly bring your right foot to meet it.

4. Repeat: Continue to repeat steps 1, 2, and 3, alternating between walking forward and doing the double-step.

5. Add the "chicken wings": As you walk and double-step, flap your arms up and down like chicken wings. You can also add other arm movements, such as twirling your arms or waving your hands.

6. Have fun! The chicken dance is a silly dance, so the most important thing is to have fun and enjoy yourself.
