How do you add a multiple bar rest on finale 2012?

1. Open the Measure Tool by clicking on the Measure icon in the toolbar, or by pressing M on your keyboard.

2. Click on the first measure where you want the multiple bar rest to begin.

3. Drag the mouse to the last measure where you want the multiple bar rest to end.

4. Release the mouse button. The Multiple Bar Rest dialog box will appear.

5. In the Type drop-down list, select the type of multiple bar rest you want to create.

6. In the Number of Bars field, enter the desired number of bars.

7. Click OK to create the multiple bar rest.
