How did Black Veil Brides form?

Black Veil Brides formed in 2006 when Andy Biersack, then known as Andy Six, put up an advertisement on MySpace seeking backing musicians for his solo act. The band originally consisted of Biersack, guitarist Jake Pitts, bassist Ashley Purdy, and drummer Sandra Alvarenga. The group later expanded to a five-piece with the addition of rhythm guitarist Jinxx.

The band released their debut album, "We Stitch These Wounds", in 2010, which peaked at number 36 on the Billboard 200 chart. Their second album, "Set the World on Fire", was released in 2011 and debuted at number 17 on the Billboard 200 chart. The band's third album, "Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones", was released in 2013 and debuted at number 8 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Black Veil Brides have released six studio albums, one live album, one EP, and two DVDs. The band has toured extensively throughout the world and has been nominated for numerous awards, including three Grammy Awards.
