Who is the Great Female Dancer Ever?

Martha Graham (1894–1991)

Martha Graham is widely regarded as one of the most important and influential dancers and choreographers of the 20th century. She is known for her innovative and expressive style of dance, which she called "modern dance." Graham's work broke away from the traditional ballet techniques of the time and focused on the inner emotions and experiences of the dancer. Graham was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1894. She began studying dance at the age of 16 and eventually moved to New York City to pursue her career. She founded her own dance company in 1926, and over the next few decades she created more than 150 works of choreography. Graham's work toured the world and she received numerous awards and accolades, including the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the National Medal of Arts.

Graham died in New York City in 1991. She is considered one of the most influential dancers and choreographers of all time, and her work continues to be performed and studied around the world.
