When was shall i compare thee to a day written?

"Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?" is the opening line of Sonnet 18 by William Shakespeare. It is believed to have been written between 1592 and 1598, as part of a larger collection of 154 sonnets known as the Shakespearean sonnets. The exact date of its composition is not known, but it is generally thought to be one of Shakespeare's earlier sonnets.
