Freedom and love! This is my aspiration!
If these two are denied to me,
I would rather perish.
What good is life if it isn’t free?
For what purpose should I remain silent,
If my heart feels choked with anguish,
And my lips, gagged?
Freedom and love! These two are inseparable,
Like the wings of a bird.
Without them, I cannot soar,
My soul is chained.
I yearn for the winds of freedom to blow,
To feel the sun of love shining upon me.
These two are my birthright,
I will never give up hope.
Freedom and love! I live and die for these!
I will go to war, if need be,
To gain these treasures.
They are worth more to me than my own life.
I want to be free to love and be loved,
To speak my mind and share my thoughts,
To live in a world where all people are equal,
And where there is no hunger, no poverty, and no war.
I want to live in a world where we can pursue our dreams,
And where we can love freely,
Where everyone can be happy.
This is a dream worth living for.
