What is the poem that starts I went to animal fair?

The poem is called "The Animal Fair" by William Brighty Rands. Here's the full text:

The Animal Fair

Once I went to an animal fair,

The birds and beasts were there,

The old kangaroo and the white polar bear,

The little dog with the curly tail,

The snarling wolf with the shaggy hair.

I saw the elephant, brown as a berry,

The birds and the beasts were there,

The monkey with his foolish face,

The sleek black cat with the golden eye,

The gentle deer with the dappled side,

The pretty spotted thrush,

The crimson crested cockatoo,

The snow-white owl, and speckled hen,

The tiny wren.

The giant tortoise, slow and dry,

The birds and the beasts were there,

The sly green lizard, the pretty red squirrel,

The funny white owl and the magpie,

And other wild creatures more than I,

Can tell of here, for the time would fly.

We went round and round, and then went back,

To the inn where we stayed.

Such a wonderful time we had, that day,

At the animal fair, when we saw the beasts

The birds and the beasts were there.
