Who was the last witch hung in Britain?

The last person officially executed for witchcraft in Britain was Jane Wenham, who was hanged in 1712.

While the Witchcraft Act of 1735 formally ended the legal prosecution of witchcraft in Britain, it's important to note that accusations and persecution didn't completely disappear.

There are documented cases of people being accused of witchcraft in the 18th and 19th centuries, but these typically didn't result in legal trials or executions.
