A rap about the Gettysburg address?

In eighteen sixty-three, a battle raged so fiercely

In a Pennsylvania town called Gettysburg, it's no mercy

The Union and the Confederacy clashed with might

But little did they know, a speech was about to take flight

'Fore a field of fallen soldiers, Lincoln did appear

With profound words, he wanted to make things clear

He gazed upon the graves, his heart full of pain

And delivered his famous speech, never speaking in vain

In simple words, he spoke of unity and strife

Of the brave souls who gave their young precious lives

He wanted a country united, free from hate

His speech had the power to turn the course of fate

"Four score and seven years" - words echoing still

Recalling America's birth, its noble thrill

"All men are created equal, no doubt about it"

Equality and freedom - Lincoln didn't forget

He mourned their loss with empathy, honest and true

"The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here"

But Lincoln was wrong, his words stood tall

Inspiring generations, they resonated with all

"A new birth of freedom" - those words never die

A nation reborn, united under the same sky

So let's keep his message in our hearts today

And strive for peace and harmony, come what may
