Poem entitled The rich eat three full meals?

The Rich Eat Three Full Meals

Some poets talk of food,

Of three meals a day.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner,

This is what they say.

But what of the poor,

Who go to sleep with empty bellies?

Who beg and plead for mercy,

Of bread just the crust to relish?

In a world of plenty,

Where feasts abound for some.

There are others who know not,

From where to find a crumb.

It's a cruel irony,

That some must face starvation.

While others indulge in gluttony,

Without any sense of moderation.

We need to come together,

And fight this inequality.

No one should go to bed hungry,

In this world of plenty and prosperity.

Let's rise up against hunger,

And make sure that everyone,

Has enough to eat,

And a life of abundance to lead.
