What did Walter Fleming discover?

Discovery of Insulin

Dr. Walter Fleming was a Canadian pathologist who discovered the enzyme lysozyme in 1922, while studying Staphylococcus aureus ("staph") bacteria found in human mucus. However, he is better known for his accidental discovery of penicillin, the first antibiotic discovered, not by Fleming but by his protégé, Alexander Fleming, in 1928.
