Hindi Translation Tools

Along with English, Hindi is one of the two official language of India. It is spoken throughout India and around the world by more than 180 million people, but the population of speakers is most concentrated in northern Indian states. According to Ethnologue, Hindi is classified as an Indo-European, Indo-Iranian language that derives its formal words from Sanskrit but also borrows heavily from Arabic. Translating from or into Hindi, therefore, requires an expansive vocabulary.

However, Google Translate is a useful tool for novice translators. In addition, Babylon and Babelfish also offer free machine translation, and it may be worth comparing them.
