Vernon O. Giffin was an American businessman, politician, and writer. He was born in Iowa Park, Texas, and moved to California in 1923. He worked in the oil industry and became a successful businessman. He served as a member of the California State Assembly from 1943 to 1947 and was elected to the United States House of Representatives in 1948. He served in the House until 1953.
