Create a piece of work, especially in journalism to win a Pulitzer Prize. Music, novels and poetry are also eligible for Pulitzer Prizes.

Only U.S. citizens are eligible for a Pulitzer Prize except for the History category in Letters; the book must be about the history of the United States. For the Journalism prize, entrants may be any nationality, but the work must have appeared in a United States newspaper that is published at least once a week. Online newspapers and online news organizations are eligible.

Fill out the entry form for a Pulitzer Prize. For the Journalism, Letters, Drama and Music Pulitzer Prize entries, print the form and fill it out or fill out the entry form online. Four copies of a book for a Pulitzer Prize must be submitted along with the Pulitzer Prize entry form. Publishers cannot submit books for Pulitzer Prizes.
