What inspired Johann Strauss to write the Blue Danube?

The Blue Danube was not written by Johan Strauss, but rather composed by his brother Johann Strauss II. The inspiration behind the Blue Danube supposedly comes from a dream he had the day after an evening spent at the banks of the river.
