Why is it inaccurate to describe Harriet Beecher Stowe meddlesome?

Harriet Beecher Stowe was not meddlesome. She was an influential abolitionist and women's rights advocate who wrote Uncle Tom's Cabin, which is often credited with helping to start the American Civil War. She was an advocate for social reform and passionate about justice and equality, But you couldn't describe her as meddlesome.
