The first major battle in the book is the battle that occurs at the Cornucopia. This is where Katniss first enters the arena and encounters other tributes who have also come to retrieve the supplies that are located in the Cornucopia. The battle is extremely intense and Katniss almost loses her life.
The Bloodbath at the Career Camp
The Career tributes, an organized group of well-trained tributes from District 1, 2, and 4 join forces and work as a pack against the other tributes. They attack one of the weaker camps which leaves most of its members dead or wounded.
The Battle at the River
Katniss and Peeta encounter the Career pack while at the river and they work together to defeat them. This battle is particularly gruesome and results in the deaths of several tributes.
The Battle of the Quarter Quell
The third battle in the book occurs during the Quarter Quell. The Quarter Quell is a special edition of the Hunger Games that is held every 25 years and features special twists and challenges. The battle of the Quarter Quell is incredibly intense and results in the deaths of many tributes.
The Battle at the Capitol
The final battle occurs in the Capitol when the rebels try taking down the Capitol to end the Hunger Games.
