Was Joan of Arc a real person?

Yes, Joan of Arc was a real person. She was born in Domrémy, France, around 1412. She is best known for her role in the Hundred Years' War, during which she led the French army to several important victories. Joan of Arc was eventually captured by the English and burned at the stake as a heretic in 1431. She was later canonized as a saint by the Catholic Church.
