What religious turmoil did Elizabeth I caused?
Queen Elizabeth I didn't cause any religious turmoil; rather, she inherited some conflicts from previous Tudor monarchs, such as King Henry VIII's decision to break away from the Roman Catholic Church in the 16th century. As Queen Elizabeth ascended to the throne, she attempted to establish stability by introducing the Elizabethan Religious Settlement in order to unite diverse groups with different religious affiliations. While Queen Elizabeth did face struggles throughout her reign, it wouldn't be fair to solely attribute them to her.
