Why is Takuma reluctant to leave Sara in book 12 of Vampire Knight?

In Vampire Knight, Takuma Ichijo is not reluctant to leave Sara Shirabuki in book 12. Rather, he is reluctant to leave Yuki Cross when she decides to leave Cross Academy with Kaname Kuran.
