History
A Secret Death was formed in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2008 by vocalist Michael Alvarez, guitarists Cody Watkins, and James Dewees, bassist Adam Pierce, and drummer Matt Rudzinski. The band released their debut EP, "To Die for", in 2009, which was followed by their debut full-length album, "The World is Ours", in 2011. "The World is Ours" was met with critical acclaim and helped the band gain a wider following.
In 2012, A Secret Death released their second EP, "The Way of the Rope", which featured guest vocals from members of The Dillinger Escape Plan, Suicide Silence, and Emmure. The band toured extensively in support of the EP, including a stint on the Warped Tour.
In 2014, A Secret Death announced that they were going on hiatus. The band cited personal reasons and the desire to focus on other projects. The band's last show was at the Las Vegas Metal Festival in May 2014.
