How long did victor Frankenstein study Science Fiction?

Victor Frankenstein did not study "science fiction". That genre didn't exist in the 18th century when Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein.

Victor Frankenstein studied natural philosophy (what we now call natural science) and alchemy. He was particularly interested in the process of life and death, which he believed could be manipulated through scientific experimentation.

It's important to remember that "Frankenstein" is a gothic horror novel, not a science fiction story. While it uses scientific themes, it primarily focuses on the dangers of unchecked ambition and the consequences of playing God.
