Create your characters. A compelling romance novel begins with dynamic characters. Build characters with brainstorming names and circumstances. For example, decide whether your lead character is rich or poor, what era she is living in and what her conflict is. Conflict will give you a basis for the rest of the story. Paranormal stories revolve around the paranormal ability of a character. If a character is half fairy, or werewolf, this character trait will affect the decisions she makes and drive the plot forward.
Create the romantic counterpart. A romance novel relies on the tension between the two romantic leads. Allowing the two leads to have conflict with each other or circumstances out of their control that pull them apart creates tension. Two characters with paranormal abilities can conflict through the nature of their paranormal skill, such as a vampire falling for a werewolf. A human character in conflict with the paranormal characters around him is another option that gives readers someone to relate to. Small conflicts are often exaggerated in paranormal novels. For example, a heroine who dislikes the hero, but secretly finds him attractive is a foundation for conflict, but add a twist by making the hero a vampire who bit that neck of the heroine, and the relationship becomes much more compelling.
Create supporting plot and characters. The plot and supporting characters can take any form. However, the story surrounding the romantic leads supports their plight or drives their story. The heroine and hero might appear to lose each other, or a dangerous event pulls them apart. Each of these circumstances drive the drama of a story. In paranormal, the plot largely depends upon the paranormal aspects of the lead characters. Events happen based on paranormal activities that take place. A heroine using her power at the wrong time may set the ball rolling in a story. A hero who uses his ability to save the heroine, but otherwise keeps it secret may be the beginning of a dynamic plot.

Save your novel. The common e-book formats are PDF, raw HTML and Windows EXE files. You can convert a Microsoft Word file to a PDF file using Abode Acrobat Professional, but many free PDF converters are available online. For example, GIRDAC Free PDF Creator and CC PDF. PDF formats are easily accessible to readers, as Abode Acrobat Reader is a common program that is often already installed on new computers.
Publish your ebook. Attaching a link to your website that an audience can download is one method of promoting your book. This ensures that you can manage your book sales and views. If you choose to sell your ebook to an online publisher, it will still behoove you to have a sample already posted online that makes viewing easy for prospective buyers.
