Convey the information you want the reader to know in the title. This is an informational title and you use in most commonly in business articles. An example of this type of title is "The Stock Market Is Down."
Grab the reader's attention by using a teasing title. This type of title makes it harder for the reader to know what the article is about before he reads it. Therefore, teasing titles are better for newspaper articles, not business articles. An example is "What Did the Stock Market Do Today?"
Work in a catchy title. This type of title is better for fun articles or even emails. An example is "Stock Market--Invest or not?"
Write the article, email or other writing that you are doing and then compose the title. Make sure the title conveys what you wrote. Since you wrote the title last, it will express your point.
Format the title. Underline titles of full-length works such as books, movies and plays and use quotes for titles of shorter works such as short stories, songs and newspaper stories. All the words in a title should be capitalized except for prepositions, articles and conjunctions.
