Check out your favorite authors' webpages before you feverishly search random bookstore websites to look for an upcoming book that you may like. You will find out if the authors have any releases planned for the next six months, and, if they do, the exact dates the books are due in the store.
Look at the pages in the back of your favorite books. There is often a list of books that the publisher suggests if you liked the book that you just finished. As you learn about new authors, book titles and release dates, write them down so you can take them with you when you go to the bookstore.
Look on your favorite bookseller's website, which will usually create many lists, including upcoming new releases, recommended books, books that are on the top seller lists and even books newly released in paperback. This will help immensely if you don't already know what you are looking for.
Ask your friends for suggestions. They may have read some great books of that you may like. Your friends tastes may be different from yours, but go ahead and try something you wouldn't normally read. You might discover a really great book or a whole new genre.
