Format the existing MS Word File into a book friendly format. Common sizes are 6 by 9 or 5 1/2 by 8 1/2. These sizes are easy to convert to a print book if you eventually choose to go in that direction.
Go to "edit/ select all" to select the text. Change the font to 10 or 12 point Times New Roman. Set the spacing for single spacing. Set margins between .5 inch and 1 inch on all sides. As you type, hit return at the end of paragraphs to prevent text from bleeding into the margins.
Set the headers and the footer. The author's name and the book title are usually in the header. Page numbers are usually centered on the bottom of the page.
Activate a PDF software such as doPDF. PDF software can be downloaded from the Internet. Some self-publishing companies, such as Lulu.com, will convert the document for free. They will also catalog your ebook so it can be sold on their site.
Print the ebook through the pdf printer function, and add the file to your website.
