Who was a primary proponent of ethology?
Konrad Lorenz was a primary proponent of ethology, a field of biology that studies the behaviour of animals in their natural environment. Lorenz, an Austrian zoologist, ornithologist, and ethologist, is considered to be one of the founders of modern ethology and is credited with popularising the field through his books and films, such as On Aggression (1966) and King Solomon's Ring (1952). Lorenz, together with Niko Tinbergen, shared the 1973 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for their work on animal behaviour patterns.
